Events

  • The Forsyth County Historic Research Commission and the village of Clemmons have invited the public to attend the historic marker unveiling of the Clemmons Mill, 4010 Hampton Road, on Thursday, May 29, at 2 p.m. Parking is limited.
  • Mark the calendars for the Clemmons Summer Shindig on June 7 from 5 to 8 p.m., to kick off the start of summer with an outdoor live band at the YMCA. Knuckles Deep Band will be hitting the stage at 5 p.m., food and treat trucks, Gypsy-Road Brewing Company beer tent, a kid zone complete with a foam cannon and Mobile Arcade USA and the BASH Volleyball Tournament all taking place on the back fields of the Jerry Long Family YMCA.

Farmers market  

  • Applications for the 2025 Clemmons Farmers Market season are closed. Any information about the market can be found on clemmons.org, as well as linked to all village social media sites. For further inquiries, contact Lynette Fox at lfox@clemmons.org.
  • The Clemmons Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA. This week it will be located in the front parking lot.

Employment opportunities

  • The village of Clemmons currently has job opportunities available. Find out more at clemmons.org/jobs. Current openings include assistant director of operations, stormwater technician I and public works equipment operator.

 Meetings 

  • The next regularly scheduled council meeting will be held on Monday, June 9, at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of village hall, 3715 Clemmons Road.  
  • The regularly scheduled planning board meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 17, at 6 p.m. in the council chambers.

Public works  

  • Limbs should be placed on the edge of the street by 7 a.m. on Monday morning of the following schedule between March and November: East of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Winston-Salem side) — second full week of the month. West of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Tanglewood side) — first full week of the month.
  • To assist with additional waste, recycling and cardboard, Clemmons’ citizens are invited to bring their excess to the Public Works facility between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays). 
  • When available, mulch can be loaded at 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Mulch is only loaded at these times and not throughout the day. Mulch is not available on rainy days. All trucks and trailers must have side walls and be covered (example: with a tarp) before leaving the yard. For mulch availability call Public Works at 336-766-9170. These services are limited to village of Clemmons residents, and you may be asked to show ID.

Stormwater   

  • Staff will be completing drainage outfall inspections throughout the village of Clemmons as part of the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s NPDES Phase II permit throughout the months of December – May 2025 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weather depending). Activities may include visual observations, photography, creek walking and water quality sampling, primarily at drainage pipe outlets into ditches and water bodies. All Stormwater personnel will be wearing reflective vests, driving marked vehicles, and carrying identification.
