Events

  • Movie Night in the Village will be held Friday, May 16 at the Jerry Long Family YMCA. Food trucks and music will begin at 6:30 p.m. The movie, “Napoleon Dynamite,” will begin at dusk. 
  • Join First Responder Appreciation Day at the Clemmons Farmers Market on Saturday, May 24, from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA. It’s an opportunity for families to come together and show their support. Kids will have the chance to get up close to a police car, fire truck and critical care transport unit, fostering a deeper appreciation for the vital work these responders do. 
  • The Forsyth County Historic Research Commission and the village of Clemmons have invited the public to attend the historic marker unveiling of the Clemmons Mill, 4010 Hampton Road, Clemmons, on Thursday, May 29, at 2 p.m. Parking is limited.  

Farmers market

  • Applications for the 2025 Clemmons Farmers Market season are closed. Any information about the market can be found on clemmons.org, as well as linked to all village social media sites. For further inquiries, contact Lynette Fox at lfox@clemmons.org.
  • Opening day of the 2025 season will be Saturday, May 10, from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA. It will be located in the field adjacent to Peace Haven Road and across from the pool parking lot. 

Employment opportunities

  • The village of Clemmons currently has job opportunities available. Find out more at clemmons.org/jobs. Current openings include assistant director of operations, stormwater technician I, marketing and communications specialist and public works equipment operator.

 Meetings

  • The next regularly scheduled council meeting will be held on May 12 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of Village Hall, 3715 Clemmons Road.   
  • The regularly scheduled planning board meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 20, at 6 p.m. in the council chambers. 

 Join a citizen board:

  • The Clemmons Village Council will receive applications from citizens interested in serving on the following boards: Planning Board (one position whose term expires June 30, 2028, and one position whose term expires June 30, 2026) and the Zoning Board of Adjustment (two whose terms expire June 30, 2028, and one alternate position whose term expires June 30, 2027). All applicants must live within the corporate boundaries of the village of Clemmons. Applications are available at the Village Hall, 3715 Clemmons Road and on the website at clemmons.org/255/Citizen-Boards.

Public works   

  • Limbs should be placed on the edge of the street by 7 a.m. on Monday morning of the following schedule between March and November: East of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Winston-Salem side) — second full week of the month. West of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Tanglewood side) — first full week of the month. 
  • To assist with additional waste, recycling and cardboard, Clemmons’s citizens are invited to bring their excess to the public works facility between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays).  

Stormwater    

  • Staff will be completing drainage outfall inspections throughout the village of Clemmons as part of the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s NPDES Phase II permit throughout the months of December – May 2025 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weather depending). Activities may include visual observations, photography, creek walking and water quality sampling, primarily at drainage pipe outlets into ditches and water bodies. All stormwater personnel will be wearing reflective vests, driving marked vehicles and carrying identification.
