Youth programs

  • Story times: Join for great books, finger plays, songs and crafts for toddlers and preschoolers in the story time room. Story time is on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., followed by a repeat performance at 10:30 a.m., and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Preschool Craft Time: The fun continues on Thursdays after story time as attendees make a craft together at 11:30 a.m.
  • Music and Movement: Join for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies. Takes place every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
  • Tinker Tuesday: On the first Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m., make creations out of Legos, K’nex, Lincoln Logs and Marble Maze materials. All ages welcome. The next session will be on June 3.
  • Pokemon Club: Join on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. to learn about and play Pokemon games. Cards will be provided or attendees can bring their own. For ages grade school through teens. The next meeting will be on June 4.
  • Storytime with the Piedmont Opera: The library is partnering with the Piedmont Opera for story time on Tuesday, June 10, at 10:30 a.m. A professional opera singer will present a story, explain elements of their profession and stay for a meet and greet session.
  • Clemmons Fire Department: On Thursday, June 5 at 2 p.m. learn about fire safety at home, check out a Clemmons Fire Department fire truck, and meet community firefighters. For children and their families.

All ages

  • Creative Space Open Lab: Stop in the library’s Creative Space on Friday, June 13, at 10 a.m. to try out the 3D printer.

Adult programs

  • Book Lovers’ Club: First Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join for a group book discussion each month. On June 2, the group will discuss “Prodigal Summer” by Barbara Kingsolver.
  • Clemmons Cookbook Club: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and the library will make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The next meeting will be on June 18 and the theme will be “perfect for picnics.”
  • Bluegrass Jam Sessions: Second and fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Join in the Clemmons Branch Library auditorium for a jam session. Players of all abilities are welcome. The next session will be on June 9.
  • Food as Medicine: On Thursday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m. discover how whole food plant-based nutrition can support sustainable weight loss for a longer, healthier life. To register, visit or call the Clemmons Branch Library at 336-703-2920.
