Arts Council to host free storytelling, creative art classes

Arts Council Winston-Salem & Forsyth County with the support of the Shallow Ford Foundation is offering storytelling and creative arts classes through December at the Mary Alice Warren Community Center, 440 Lewisville Clemmons Road, Lewisville.
Arts Council received a $2,500 grant from the Shallow Ford Foundation for arts programming at the Mary Alice Warren Community Center in Lewisville and will provide free storytelling performances and family art classes with teaching artists every third Saturday through December. In addition, free arts classes from Marlene Kuser every third Thursday from September through December. Register today as space is limited at intothearts.org/programs.

- 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Ciltona Cawthorne, storytelling
- noon-3 p.m.: Phoebe Roberts, Sankofa and Sunflowers
Sept. 20
- 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Bob Moyer, storytelling
- noon-3 p.m.: Monica Douglas, textured landscape painting
Oct. 18
- 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Ed Robsen, storytelling
- noon-3 p.m.: Issis Kelly, marbled pumpkins
Nov. 15
- 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Ed Robsen, storytelling
- noon-3 p.m.: Je’wel Lucas, mixed media self portraits
Dec. 20
- 10:30-11:30 a.m.: R.V. Kuser, storytelling
- noon-3 p.m.: Marlene Kuser, memory wire bracelets
