Events:

• Join in for a winter wonderland extravaganza with Christmas in July on July 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA. Enjoy a snow-filled spectacle, dance to festive tunes spun by the DJ, cuddle some animals at the petting zoo and grab some dinner and yummy treats from the food trucks. Support our local artisans and farmers at our once-a-year Clemmons Farmers Night Market. Experience the joy of the holiday season in the midst of summer.
• Custard with a Cop will be held on Tuesday, July 15, from noon to 1 p.m.  at Abbott’s Frozen Custard in Clemmons. 
• The village wants input on future amenities on the Village Point Greenway. Please take the survey found on the Village of Clemmons website, Clemmons.org and let the village know your ideas for what should be added at the Village Point Greenway. (NOTE: public bathrooms are already in the works.) Also, mark the calendars to join a public input session on July 30 at the Clemmons Branch Library from 3 to 5:30 p.m. to discuss amenities at Village Point Greenway.

Farmers market:  

• The 2025 Clemmons Farmers Market Season is here. Saturdays from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA. It will be in the parking lot adjacent to Peace Haven Road and next to the front fields.
• Applications for the 2025 Clemmons Farmers Market season are closed. Any information about the market can be found on clemmons.org, as well as linked to all village social media sites. For further inquiries, contact Lynette Fox at lfox@clemmons.org

Employment opportunities:

• The village of Clemmons currently has job opportunities available. The village is currently hiring a public works equipment operator. Find out more at clemmons.org/jobs .

Closings:

• The village of Clemmons offices will be closed Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Waste Management will operate a normal schedule Monday through Thursday (Friday pickup will be delayed one day).

Meetings: 

• The regularly scheduled council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 23, in the council chambers, located at 3715 Clemmons Road.

• The next planning board meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 15, at 6 p.m. in the council chambers, located at 3715 Clemmons Road.

Public works:

• Limbs should be placed on the edge of the street by 7 a.m. on Monday morning of the following schedule between March and November:  East of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Winston-Salem side) — second full week of the month. West of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Tanglewood side) — first full week of the month.

• To assist with additional waste, recycling and cardboard, Clemmons’ citizens are invited to bring their excess to the Public Works facility between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (except holidays). 
• When available, mulch can be loaded at 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note mulch is only loaded at these times and not throughout the day. Mulch is not available on rainy days. All trucks and trailers must have side walls and be covered (example: with a tarp) before leaving the yard. For mulch availability call Public Works at 336-766-9170. These services are limited to Village of Clemmons residents, and you may be asked to show ID.

Stormwater:   

• Staff will be completing drainage outfall inspections throughout the Village of Clemmons as part of the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s NPDES Phase II permit throughout the months of December through June 2025 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather depending. Activities may include visual observations, photography, creek walking and water quality sampling, primarily at drainage pipe outlets into ditches and water bodies. All stormwater personnel will be wearing reflective vests, driving marked vehicles and carrying identification.
