Youth programs
- Story times: Join for great books, finger plays, songs and crafts for toddlers and preschoolers in the story time room. Story time is on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., followed by a repeat performance at 10:30 a.m., and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
- Preschool Craft Time: The fun continues on Thursdays after story time as the group makes a craft together at 11:30 a.m.
- Music and Movement: Join for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies. Takes place every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
- ShakesCollage: On Thursday, June 19, at 1 p.m. Shared Radiance Performing Arts Co. presents a 50-minute, lively, interactive compilation of Shakespeare’s works geared toward audiences of all ages.
- Theatre Games: Join on Thursday, June 19, at 2 p.m. to learn and play theatre games to strengthen stage and acting skills with professional actors from Shared Radiance Performing Arts Company. Recommended for ages 5-18.
- STEAM Crafts for Kids: Children aged 4 through tweens are invited to do fun (and messy) STEAM activities on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The next session will be on Wednesday, June 25, at 4 p.m.
- Edgy Veggie Carrot Dogs: On Tuesday, July 1, at 11 a.m., Chef Floyd Davis will demonstrate how to transform a plain carrot into the star of a cookout. For ages 6 to 11. Registration is required. Children ages 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
All ages
- Chess Club: Fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. Improve at the game by playing chess with other club members. Beginners and experienced chess players of all ages are welcome. The next meeting will be on June 24.
Adult programs
- Book Lovers’ Club: First Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join for a group book discussion each month. On July 7, the club will discuss “Yellowface” by R.F. Kuang.
- Clemmons Cookbook Club: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and the library will make a copy. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The next meeting will be on July 16, and the club will prepare recipes from the Low Country.
- Ukulele Circle: Every third Saturday of the month at 2 p.m. Come listen to lively ukulele music. Performers of all levels are welcomed to participate in the jam session and listeners of all ages are invited to a wonderful musical experience. The next session will be on June 21.
- Food as Medicine: On Thursday, July 10, at 5:30 p.m. discover how whole food plant-based nutrition can prevent, treat, and reverse chronic diseases. To register, visit or call the Clemmons Branch Library at 336-703-2920.
