Patty June Cryner Stockner

Mrs. Patty June Cryner Stockner, 79, of Advance passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Forsyth County. Patty graduated from John Wesley College with a bachelor’s degree and from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a master’s degree. She was a registered nurse for the city of Winston-Salem and a member of Ardmore Baptist Church. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Arthur Cryner and Bernice Wiggins Cryner; her husband, Verlin Stockner and a sister, Peggy Cryner Brown. Surviving are a sister, Penny Kye (Lee); a niece, Jennifer Brown; two nephews, Jay Brown (Tracy) and Jeff Brown (Cristie); a great-niece, Olivia Joyner and a great-nephew, Emmett Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care or to Ardmore Baptist Church.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Ardmore Baptist Church with Dr. Gina M. Brock officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is serving the Stockner family.

• Terry John Jones, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

• Charles Thomas Binkley was called home to heaven on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

• Mrs. Gladys McSwain Willis, 88, of Clemmons passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, at the Hospice Home in High Point.

• Dortha “Dot” Elliott Chappell, 100, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 4, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
