Youth programs
- Story times: Join for great books, finger plays, songs and crafts for toddlers and preschoolers in the story time room. Story time is on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., followed by a repeat performance at 10:30 a.m., and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
- Preschool Craft Time: The fun continues on Thursdays after story time as attendees make a craft together at 11:30 a.m.
- Music and Movement: Join for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies. Takes place every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
- Wondrous Wednesday Educational Experience: Learn about obscure trivia, make a craft and bring a phone or tablet to compete in interactive games. On May 14 at 4 p.m. the group will celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
- Healthy Cooking for Teens: Interested in improving your cooking skills? Are you hungry? Then come to Healthy Cooking for Teens with Chef Floyd, where attendees will learn how to make delicious and nutritious snacks. On Tuesday, May 20 at 5 p.m. he will be preparing fruit salad. For ages 12-19.
- Pokemon Club: Join on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. to learn about and play Pokemon games. Cards will be provided or attendees can bring their own. For ages grade school through teens. The next meeting will be on May 21.
Adult programs
- Book Lovers’ Club: First Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join for a group book discussion each month. On June 2, the club will discuss “Yellowface” by R.F. Kuang.
- Clemmons Cookbook Club: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and the library will make a copy. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The next meeting will be on May 21 and the theme will be “saucy sauces.”
- Bluegrass Jam Sessions: Second and fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Join in the Clemmons Branch Library auditorium for a jam session. Players of all abilities are welcome. The next session will be on May 12.
- Ukulele Circle: Every third Saturday of the month at 2 p.m. Come listen to lively ukulele music. Performers of all levels are welcomed to participate in the jam session and listeners of all ages are invited to a wonderful musical experience. The next session will be on May 17.
