Holiday closing

  • All Forsyth County Public Library locations will be closed on April 18 for Good Friday. The library will reopen on Saturday, April 19, at 10 a.m.

Youth programs

  • Story times: Join for great books, finger plays, songs and crafts for toddlers and preschoolers in the story time room. Story time is on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., followed by a repeat performance at 10:30 a.m., and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Preschool Craft Time: The fun continues on Thursdays after story time as attendees make a craft together at 11:30 a.m.
  • Music and Movement: Join for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies. Takes place every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
  • Tinker Tuesday: On the first Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m., make creations out of Legos, K’nex, Lincoln Logs and Marble Maze materials. All ages welcome. The next session will be on May 6.
  • Pokemon Club: Join on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. to learn about and play Pokemon games. Cards will be provided or attendees can bring their own. For ages grade school through teens. The next meeting will be on May 7.

All ages

  • Chess Club: Fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. Improve at the game by playing chess with other club members. Beginners and experienced chess players of all ages are welcome. The next meeting will be on April 22.
  • Gaming Saturday: Grade schoolers, tweens, teens and adults are invited to drop in and play video games and use the MetaQuest headsets at the Clemmons Branch library on Saturday, April 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Adult programs

  • Book Lovers’ Club: First Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join for a group book discussion each month. On May 5 the club will discuss “A Calamity of Souls” by David Baldacci.
  • Clemmons Cookbook Club: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m.  Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and the library will make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The next meeting will be on May 21 and the theme will be “saucy sauces.”
  • Ukulele Circle: Every third Saturday of the month at 2 p.m. Come listen to lively ukulele music. Performers of all levels are welcomed to participate in the jam session and listeners of all ages are invited to a wonderful musical experience. The next session will be on April 19.
  • Red Cross Blood Drive: The Clemmons Branch Library will host the American Red Cross Bus for a blood drive on Tuesday, April 22, from 2-6:30 p.m. Visit www.redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code Clemmons Library to make an appointment.
  • Bluegrass Jam Sessions: Second and fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Join in the Clemmons Branch Library auditorium for a jam session. Players of all abilities are welcome. The next session will be on April 28.
