Youth programs:

  • Story Times: Join for great books, finger plays, songs and crafts for toddlers and preschoolers in the story time room. Story time is on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., followed by a repeat performance at 10:30 a.m. and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Preschool Craft Time: The fun continues on Thursdays after story time as to make a craft together at 11:30 a.m.
  • Music and Movement: Join for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies. Takes place every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
  • Healthy Cooking for Teens: Are you interested in improving your cooking skills? Are you hungry? Then come to Healthy Cooking for Teens with Chef Floyd, where you will learn how to make delicious and nutritious snacks. On Tuesday, March 18, at 5 p.m. he will be preparing veggie sushi. For ages 12-19.
  • Pokemon Club: Join on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. to learn about and play Pokemon games. Cards will be provided or you can bring your own. For ages grade school through teens. The next meeting will be on March 19.
  • STEAM Crafts for Kids: On Wednesday, March 26, at 4 p.m. attendees will be making frog habitat dioramas. For ages 4-13.
  • Tinker Tuesday: On the first Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m., make creations out of Legos, K’nex, Lincoln Logs and Marble Maze materials. All ages welcome. The next session will be on April 1.

All ages:

  • Gaming Saturday: Grade schoolers, tweens, teens and adults are invited to drop in and play video games and use the MetaQuest headsets at the Clemmons Branch library on Saturday, March 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Chess Club: Fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. Improve your game by playing chess with other club members. Beginners and experienced chess players of all ages are welcome. The next meeting will be on March 25.

Adult programs:

  • Book Lovers’ Club: First Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join in for a group book discussion each month. On April 7, the club will discuss “A Memory of Violets” by Hazel Gaynor.
  • Clemmons Cookbook Club: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and club members will make a copy. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend.  The next meeting will be on March 19 and the theme will be “something green.”
  • Bluegrass Jam Sessions: Second and fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Join in the Clemmons Branch Library auditorium for a jam session. Players of all abilities are welcome. The next session will be on March 24.
  • Friday FAQs Computer Class: Learn Internet safety on Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. Register for the class at forsythcomputertraining.org or visit or call the Clemmons Branch Library at 336-703-2920.
  • Genealogy 101: On Thursday, April 3 at 10 a.m. learn how to explore your roots, investigate family ties or just learn a little bit more about your heritage by using library resources such as Ancestry.com to conduct genealogy research. To register, visit or call the library at 336-703-2920.
