Kate Najmulski named Rotary Club’s student of the month

CLEMMONS — Kate Najmulski was recognized on Feb. 26, as the Rotary Club of Clemmons Student of the Month for the month.

According to West Forsyth officials, Najmulski’s French teacher recommended her for the award because of her leadership in the classroom, for demonstrating a strong work ethic and for showing enthusiasm and curiosity in the classroom.

Najmulski is an excellent student with a GPA of 4.4, she is in the top 10 percent of her class and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Najmulski’s extracurricular activities include being the vice-president of the French club, a member of the National Honor Society who has participated in multiple community service projects, and assisting in incoming freshman orientation as a member of the Titan Training Group.

Outside of school related activities, Najmulski works as a team member at Ketchie Creek Bakery & Café in Clemmons and as an assistant event coordinator for the village of Clemmons for various community events. She also created and ran a successful baking business in middle school. 

Najmulski is driven by her passion for design, art and creativity as well as her interest in taking rigorous school courses, never backing down from a challenge. She also has a strong interest in Greek mythology and loves the serenity of the Clemmons community.

Najmulski will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall and plans to major in industrial design.
