Closings and delays:

• The Village Point Lake Greenway Pier is currently closed. Fishing along the banks will be allowed temporarily.

Events:

• February is Neighbors Helping Neighbors month in the Village of Clemmons. During this month, Clemmons focuses on partnering with local businesses, organizations and community members to collect food items and funds for the Clemmons Food Pantry. Food drop boxes are located at Clemmons Village Hall, Public Works, Chick-fil-A Clemmons, Piedmont Federal Credit Union, the Clemmons Food Pantry and the Jerry Long Family YMCA. If you are a business or organization and would like to host a coin collection jar for February, email lfox@clemmons.org
• Enjoy the “Love is in the Air!” skunk scavenger hunt on the Village Point Greenway from now until Valentines Day.
• The Live Stake Giveaway will take place Feb. 15, 10 a.m.-noon, at Clemmons Public Works, 3800 Dillon Industrial Drive. Though not required, in exchange for a live stake bundle, the village is requesting that you bring one nonperishable, non-expired food item to donate to the Clemmons Food Pantry. No sign up required.
• The Spring Medicine Drop will be held on March 24 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the James Street Clemmons Fire Station. Residents can dispose of expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs and over the counter medications — no questions asked. This a drive-thru service for household only.

Farmers market:

• Applications for the 2025 Clemmons Farmers Market season are now available. The application and guidelines can be found on clemmons.org, as well as linked on all village social media sites.

Employment:

• The village of Clemmons currently has job opportunities available. Find out more at clemmons.org/jobs. Current openings include public works equipment operator and landscape technician.

Meetings:

• The regularly scheduled council meeting will be held on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of village hall, located at 3715 Clemmons Road, Clemmons.
• The regularly scheduled planning board meeting will be held on Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. in council chambers, located at 3715 Clemmons Road, Clemmons.

Public Works:

• Leaf collection for the season is complete and will resume in the fall.
• To assist with additional waste, recycling, and cardboard, Clemmons’ citizens are invited to bring their excess to the Public Works facility between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (except holidays).

Spring 2025 bulk item pickup:

• The 2025 Spring Bulk item pickup will begin on March 16, for residents on the west side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road. Bulk item pickup for residents on the east side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road will begin on Monday the week of March 23.

Stormwater:

• Staff will be completing drainage outfall inspections throughout the Village of Clemmons as part of the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s NPDES Phase II permit throughout the months of December – April 2025 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weather depending). Activities may include visual observations, photography, creek walking and water quality sampling, primarily at drainage pipe outlets into ditches and water bodies. All Stormwater personnel will be wearing reflective vests, driving marked vehicles, and carrying identification.
