The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged three members of a Clemmons family after an extensive investigation into the sexual abuse of minors.
According to a release from the sheriff’s office’s public information officer, Braxton Langston-Chapman, deputies responded to a Rural Hall residence last May regarding a report of sexual assault involving a minor. The FCSO Investigative Services Division assumed the investigation and worked in coordination with our partners at the Forsyth County Department of Social Services to conduct numerous interviews with the suspects and juveniles involved. Evidence revealed that the abuse had occurred at a home located in the 300 block of Craver Pointe Dr. in Clemmons.
It was determined that Everette Kenneth Tedder, 72, of Clemmons, allegedly sexually assaulted three individuals during a period spanning from 2010 to 2018. FCSO investigators also determined that Jacqueline Tedder Sandlin, 41, of Clemmons, and Jonathan Glenie Hamilton, 45, of Clemmons, were allegedly aware of the abuse and failed to report it, allowing Tedder continued access to the victims.
Tedder has been charged with one count of felony statutory sex offense with a child by an adult, one count of felony sexual offense with a child, and four counts of felony indecent liberties with a child.
Tedder is currently being held in the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center under a $10 million secured bond.
Hamilton has been charged with two counts of felony child abuse. He is currently being under a $100,000 secured bond.
Sandlin has been charged with one count of felony child abuse. She is currently held under a $100,000 secured bond.
“The FCSO remains committed to seeking justice for victims of abuse to ensure the safety and well being of our community’s most vulnerable members,” the release said.
