On April 3, Meadowlark Middle School’s eighth-grade Mustang Maverick Business/Service Club traveled to Little Richard’s Restaurant in Clemmons to learn from local restaurant owners tips on how to become a successful entrepreneur. Little Richard’s owner/founder Nick Karigiorgis and his son Stephen discussed their own backgrounds and the necessary skills to become a successful entrepreneur. Students were encouraged to start working early in their careers, to develop a good work ethic, and to improve their self-confidence and social skills.

Students are currently studying famous entrepreneurs in their business classes and this field trip was a perfect tie-in to their curriculum.

After the presentation, a tour of the kitchen was given and the students had lunch.
