Lewisville Council OKs two budget amendments

The Lewisville Town Council approved two budget amendments and two contracts during last Thursday’s Briefing and Action Meeting.
Updated aerial and topographical maps for use by the Planning Department will be purchased at a cost of $2,210. The town has not received an updated copy of these maps in five years.
A new website for the town will be purchased at a cost of $2,875. This amount covers new site hosting, license fees, monthly service and a web design package.
“We will be able to update and modify the look and operation of our site, and once the site is up and running we will pay a hosting fee of $600 per year,” said Town Manager Cecil Wood.
The new site will feature an improved event calendar. Staff hopes to have the site up and running within the next 30 days.
